Withdrawal information

Germany-first launch draftConsumer-law implementation review required. The electronic withdrawal function under current German law has been in force since 19 June 2026. Insert the current statutory instruction/model form before paid launch.

1. Fourteen-day withdrawal period

If you are a consumer and conclude an eligible paid Fedilo contract online, you generally have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days without giving reasons. For a service contract, the period generally begins when the contract is concluded, provided the legally required withdrawal information has been supplied.

2. Electronic withdrawal function

For contracts concluded through an online user interface, Fedilo must provide a clearly labelled, prominently placed and easily accessible online withdrawal function during the withdrawal period. The production interface must include “Withdraw contract” (or an equally clear label), a confirmation step, and an immediate durable-medium receipt confirmation containing the submitted withdrawal details, date and time.

3. Other ways to withdraw

You may also withdraw by an unambiguous statement sent to [LEGAL_OWNER_NAME], [LEGAL_OWNER_ADDRESS], [WITHDRAWAL_EMAIL]. You do not have to use a particular wording. The statutory model withdrawal form can be used but is not mandatory.

4. Immediate start of the service

If you expressly request that a paid service begin before the withdrawal period ends, statutory rules may require proportionate payment for service already provided if you later withdraw and the legal preconditions are met. Merely accepting the Terms is not treated as the separate request or acknowledgement required by withdrawal law.

5. Digital services versus digital content

Fedilo subscriptions are designed as continuing digital services. The production checkout must not use the special early-loss wording for non-physical digital content unless counsel confirms that the specific purchased item is legally classified that way and all statutory conditions are met.

6. Effects of withdrawal

If a valid withdrawal is exercised, payments must be reimbursed within the statutory period using the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed, subject to any lawful proportional compensation for services already provided.

7. Statutory wording and model form

Before paid launch, insert the current statutory withdrawal instruction and model withdrawal form based on EGBGB Annexes 1 and 2, completed with the actual operator identity, address, email and the production URL of the electronic withdrawal function. Do not launch paid checkout while these fields remain placeholders.
