Subscription terms

GERMANY-FIRST LAUNCH DRAFTConsumer-law review required before paid launch. Checkout, cancellation button, withdrawal information and contract confirmation must match the production flow. Version: 2026-09-30.

1. Scope

These subscription terms supplement the Terms of Service for paid Viewer and Creator plans. The plan shown at checkout, including its price, billing interval, limits and included functions, becomes part of the contract.

2. Separate subscriptions

Viewer plans and Creator plans are separate subscriptions unless the checkout expressly states otherwise. Buying a paid plan never changes the chronological Feed rules or buys recommendation placement.

3. Checkout and payment obligation

Before a paid order is submitted, the checkout must clearly show the essential service characteristics, total price, billing cadence, duration/renewal terms and accepted payment methods. The final order action must clearly indicate that the order creates a payment obligation as required by applicable consumer law.

4. Start of service and contract confirmation

Unless checkout states a later start date, access to the paid digital service is provided without undue delay after successful contract formation/payment authorization. The user receives a contract confirmation on a durable medium containing the legally required pre-contract information and the applicable terms.

5. Renewal

Monthly subscriptions continue until canceled, subject to any applicable notice period. For German consumer contracts with an initial fixed annual term, Fedilo does not use a silent extension into another locked annual term: any automatic continuation after the initial term is for an indefinite period and can be canceled at any time with no more than one month’s notice. The production checkout and payment schedule must implement the same renewal model.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel through Billing and, where § 312k BGB applies, through an easily accessible online cancellation button and confirmation flow. A normal cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless a mandatory right or the checkout states otherwise. We confirm the cancellation electronically.

7. Statutory withdrawal rights

Consumers may have a statutory withdrawal right for distance contracts. Any request to begin performance before the withdrawal period expires, and any acknowledgement concerning the consequences for the withdrawal right, is obtained separately where the law requires it. These terms do not waive mandatory withdrawal rights.

8. Payment failure and grace

If payment fails or a subscription becomes past due, paid features may remain available only through the authoritative paid-through date and any expressly configured grace period. After paid coverage ends, the account may fall back to the applicable Free plan without deleting saved creators or playlists.

9. Downgrades and capacity

A downgrade is non-destructive. If the lower plan supports fewer active creators, feeds, lists or other capacity, existing data is retained where reasonably possible and items above the active limit are paused or made read-only until you choose what remains active. Fedilo does not silently choose creators for you.

10. Price and plan changes

We may change future prices or plan features for legitimate product, cost, legal or provider-policy reasons. Existing paid users receive advance notice where required. A material detrimental change to a continuously supplied digital service is handled in accordance with mandatory consumer rights, including any required right to terminate.

11. Digital-service conformity and updates

Mandatory rights relating to conformity, functionality, compatibility, continuity, security, updates and remedies for digital services remain unaffected. Nothing in these terms excludes statutory rights to cure, price reduction, termination or damages where applicable.

12. Account deletion

Deleting an account is separate from ordinary subscription cancellation. The deletion workflow should first close or cancel active external billing contracts so future renewal is not left behind. Account deletion does not itself create a refund unless law or the Refund & Cancellation policy provides one.
