Cookie & referral attribution disclosure
Draft product disclosure — legal/privacy review required before paid launch.
Referral acquisition uses a first-party, signed referral-touch cookie and server-side referral records. The cookie does not contain a creator payout amount or payment-card data.
Current v6 attribution and conversion rules
For the current creator-referral v6 program, a valid referral touch can be used for up to 30 days before signup. Attribution is fixed at signup, and the first valid creator referral wins; later creator visits do not replace that signup attribution. The viewer's first actually successful paid Viewer payment must then occur within 90 days after signup to become a qualified creator referral conversion.
A successful payment after the 90-day conversion deadline can still make the viewer an ever-paid billing user, but it is not a v6 creator referral conversion and does not open creator commission eligibility.
Commission scope
A qualified v6 conversion can pay 25% of Eligible Net. Monthly-first referrals are limited to no more than 12 actually paid monthly service periods and no more than 365 days from the qualified first paid payment; unpaid months do not create catch-up commission. If the qualifying first payment is annual, only that first annual payment is commissionable, annual renewal is not, and a refund reverses the related commission without creating a fresh referral eligibility window.
Historical policies
EXISTING_FREE_FIRST_PAID may appear in historical referral records created under older policies. It is not a new v6 attribution path: v6 attribution is created at signup for a net-new account.
Why attribution exists
Referral attribution is used to determine whether a creator may earn acquisition commission from an eligible paid Viewer subscription. It does not increase the viewer's subscription price and does not buy ranking in the Feed.
Creator Referral Program Terms describe the commission rules in more detail.
